Solid Ground Wellness & Counselling

At Solid Ground Wellness & Counselling, we believe that healing begins with safety.

Our practice was created to offer a calm, supportive space where individuals can reconnect with themselves, rebuild after difficult experiences, and move forward with strength and confidence. We provide trauma-informed counselling and emotional wellness support for individuals navigating burnout, trauma, life transitions, and the lasting impact of high-stress professions.

In addition to individual counselling, Solid Ground offers education and professional speaking for organizations, healthcare teams, and first responders. Through workshops, training, and keynote presentations, we focus on resilience, nervous system health, trauma awareness, and early support — helping individuals and workplaces create healthier, more supportive environments.

Whether you are seeking personal counselling or looking to bring meaningful mental health education to your organization, you are welcome here.

Where safety creates the stability that leads to strength and growth.

ABOUT ME

Candace Terry, RN (Non-Practicing), Counsellor & Professional Speaker

Hello, I’m Candace — and I’m really glad you’re here.

I am a counsellor, former registered nurse, and professional speaker with a deep passion for supporting individuals who have been impacted by trauma, burnout, moral injury, and life-altering experiences. My work is grounded in compassion, lived experience, and a strong belief that healing should never require people to push through pain alone.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in healthcare and witnessed firsthand the emotional toll that high-stress professions can take. Through both my professional training and my own personal journey, I came to understand how deeply trauma and chronic stress affect the nervous system, identity, and sense of safety.

Today, I specialize in trauma-informed counselling and emotional wellness support for individuals rebuilding after difficult seasons of life.

Alongside my counselling practice, I provide education and professional speaking for healthcare professionals, first responders, and organizations — helping bring awareness, early support, and healthier conversations around mental health and resilience.

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in safety. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and understood.

It would be an honour to walk alongside you on your journey.
